Somehow this sweet, loving, Rottie girl named Jasmine ended up in a high kill shelter in Tennessee and even though it was a bad thing, it most certainly was the best new chapter to her life that will bring her to living a long time with a new loving family.  Critter Cavalry pulled her from the shelter as she was being scheduled for euthanasia and upon taking her to the vet and having her totally vetted and made healthy, it was discovered that she had 'breast cancer' in one of her mammory glands!  Without the rescue pulling her it would have gone on and on and eventually taken her life.  Now Jasmine is in a loving foster home and has come a long way in just the past month.  Her cancerous tumor was removed and the lab said to just 'watch it' as you know to do in humans.  It seems it was all removed but a vigil will always be necessary.  Jasmine doesn’t have a mean bone in her body!  At approximately 6 years old and only 80 pounds, she is learning to play all over again and loving life!  She has been having a great time with her foster brother and sisters and has found her favorite toy!  Chances are Jasmine was once very loved and cared for.  Jasmine also had her teeth cleaned while she was at the vet, recovery was rough but she is now the fun, spunky Rottie she was meant to be!  She is crate and leash trained and plays well with other dogs.  Put a leash on her and she will go anywhere with you, trotting gently by your side.  Jasmine loves to be with her people and will stay close by even if you're just hanging out.  She loves attention and her favorite thing in the world is to be petted; anywhere, anytime.  The longer the better!  If you're looking for a love bug to cuddle and play with, Jasmine is your girl!  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or

About Critter Companion Rescue- DC

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?

Our Adoption Process...

Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.
