Don’t let Gus’s grizzled face and muzzle deceive you; Gus the gentleman Beagle is 9 years young with enough energy and drive to take you around the block a time or two. Gus was recently surrendered when the landlord said “dog’s gotta go!” You can tell just by looking at Gus that he must have really loved his family; it’s written all over his face, but despite his bad luck Gus never stops wagging his tail and is always ready to greet you with a big smile and a happy “yip yip hooray! It’s a brand new day!” Gus knows he will find love again; his optimism is contagious and it comes from a heart of gold; are you looking for love too? Gus is good with kids, cats, and other dogs. What more could you ask for? What are you waiting for? “Yip yip hooray! It’s a brand new day!” To meet Gus contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center on Facebook, call 814-918-2032, or email:

About Tri-County Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Tri-County Animal Rescue Center rescues needy cats and dogs, and provides the quality care they deserve until we can place them in forever homes where they will be treated as part of the family.

We are committed to helping reduce pet overpopulation by providing access to low-cost spay/neuter programs and educating the public.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Tri-County Animal Rescue Center is located in the former Clarion County Humane Society building at 9562 Route 322 in Shippenville, Pennsylvania. We are a NO KILL facility.
1:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 Tuesday thru Friday
12:00-3:00 Saturday and Sunday
PLEASE NOTE: Volunteers who work with our dogs are not always at the rescue center during public hours. Please make an appointment if you wish to be able to take a dog out of its kennel. Thank you!

Our Adoption Process...

Our dog adoption fee is $125 and we require either a spay/neuter deposit of $50 or a certificate for spay/neuter at our vet may be purchased for $100 (unless already spayed/neutered which would change the adoption fee) if the option of the $50 deposit is chosen, it will be returned after proof of the surgery.
Our cat adoption fee is $75 for kittens and $35 for adult cats. The cat adoption fee includes spay or neuter costs. All cats and dogs receive a wellness check and are current on all vaccinations appropriate for their age.

The adoption process includes filling out an adoption application and providing references. Any current pets in the household must be spayed or neutered (unless not recommended by a veterinarian for health reasons) and current on vaccinations.
If living in a rental property, we must obtain permission from the landlord before an adoption can be approved. The dog or cat will be placed with the potential adopter that best matches the needs of the animal.
