My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tasha! Being only a pup, Tasha is an 8 month old Border Collie/Hound mix and weighs about 35lbs. With new surroundings, she was a bit shy and unsure of what to do, but once she met some other dogs in the house, she came out of her shell right away! This precious puppy just loves to play, especially with other dogs. She is a very smart girl, already knowing how to sit and responding to corrections when she is caught doing something she shouldn't. She may get slightly larger, but probably won't be more than 40lbs when all is said and done.

Dog parks are a great way for Tasha to get some exercise. If she doesn’t have access to a fenced in yard, daily walks or dog park trips should do the trick. She’s pretty good about running around and playing, getting most of the energy out with any other willing human or dog, but she also likes to snuggle up close to her foster family. As easy going as she is, Foster Mom thinks she could adapt to just about any environment. So long as she is around people and other dogs, she’s a happy camper! Even though she is shy at first, it doesn’t take a whole lot for her to warm up and become besties with you :) Entertaining herself is something she is quite good at, but she still loves snuggles and pets!

Tasha is nearly housebroken and has only had a couple of accidents. The spare bedroom seems to be her go-to facility, but when called outside, she listens and goes where she is supposed to. She has never been around cats but does great with dogs. She really wants to play and if her 4-legged roommates will let her, she’ll play rough. She is very good at interpreting social cues from them and understands when they no longer want to play. Food & toy aggression are foreign concepts to Tasha as she is pretty submissive and just wants to be part of the pack.

If you’re looking for a super sweet pup and can dedicate a little extra TLC to some potty training, this stoic sweetie is the perfect addition! Foster Mom even says that she’s one of the best dogs that she’s ever met!
