Callie's Story...
NOTE: FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT CALLIE, PLEASE CONTACT Beth at knuckles145@gmail.com , or call 858- 248-0702.

My name is Callie and I am a 5 or 6 year old Belgian Shepherd mix, currently weighing 57 pounds. My foster mom says I can afford to gain a little weight but not much.

I LOVE everybody I meet, even little kids and strangers (although I will bark when they first ring the doorbell). I would love to be a lap dog, but will settle for lots of pets, attention and curling up on the floor next to where you are. You should see me play fetch and tug with the preschooler that comes to visit here.

I am picky about which dogs I like, especially when I first meet them, but I get along great and even play with my 12 pound foster sister. I am potty trained and crate trained, very smart and maybe a little stubborn. I LOVE my daily walks.

FOR MORE INFORMATION, PLEASE CONTACT Beth at knuckles145@gmail.com , or call 858- 248-0702. This pet is being fostered in the Rancho Bernardo area of San Diego County.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Callie, a Vista Belgian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Belgian Shepherd for sale in Vista, or seeking a Belgian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Belgian Shepherd breeders who help with Belgian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
