Patches's Story...
Patches is such a good boy. He is a 3 year old pointer mix, weighing about 65 poinds. Patches was found as a stray who had been dumped in rural Missouri. This sweet boy spent 11 months of his life in a rural pound before he came to The Rescue Project. He is now in a loving foster home. Patches underwent treatment for heartworms and is now heartworm negative. Foster mom describes him as a total love bug. He does fine with cats, dogs, and all people, including children. He knows his manners and is potty and kennel trained. He walks well on a leash. Patches needs to go to a home with a tall privacy fence as he can easily jump an short fence.

Patches' adoption fee is $175 and includes age appropriate vaccines, neuter, microchip, and his heartworm treatment/testing. Please contact us at kcpetfinder@hotmail.com to meet Patches.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patches, a Overland Park Pointer/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Pointer/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pointer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
