Hi! My name is Loki. I am approximately 5 to 6 years old as of September 2016. I was rescued from Jefferson County Animal Control's euthanasia list. I am a very sweet and laid back boy. I am a total lap cat. I am happy to sit in your lap as long as you will let me. I am a very big boy, but I am as gentle as can be. I have tested positive for FIV, which means either I was vaccinated for it at some point, or I carry the virus.

FIV is no big deal! FIV positive cats can live as long as negative cats and may never have any health issues. All we need is good food, regular vet visits, a clean environment, and lots of love! FIV positive cats can also live with negative cats as long as the household is stable and everyone gets along. FIV is spread to other cats through deep, vicious bite wounds that are uncommon outside of intact tomcats (and I'm neutered!)

If you are interested in me, email havenforhomeless@sbcglobal.net.

All cats have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, are current on shots, flea treated, and dewormed. An adoption fee applies. Ask about our foster-to-adopt program. If you are interested in me, please send an email to the email address listed in the pet's description. If no email address is specified, please email info@strayhavenrescue.org.

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a non-profit feline foster-based rescue located in St. Louis County and St. Charles County.

We specialize in cats and kittens. We rescue our babies from local high-kill shelters and other rescue agencies. We do ask for a donation for any feline we rescue to offset some of their vetting costs. We also assist with local TNR efforts.

All of our kitties have been spayed/neutered, FIV/FeLV tested, microchipped, given age-appropriate vaccines, de-wormed, and flea treated. Our kitties are located in loving foster homes waiting for you to adopt them. We do have a few kitties at located at the cat adoption center at the Petco at Mackenzie Pointe, the Telegraph Petco, and the Florissant PetSmart.
