My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Have you ever met a dog and heard his story and it touched the deepest part of your heart? This sweet, old guy is Murphy. We believe he is about 10 yrs old and weighs 10lbs. Some rescue friends saved him from a garage sale site because his next stop would have been either a bait dog or a high-kill shelter where he would have been killed at the door with a heart stick. Not even given a chance.
He was almost 100% blind in one eye - his other eye socket was filled with maggots - deaf and he was matted so close to his skin he had to be shaved in spots. Many people would say it would have been the humane thing to euthanize him. We wanted to give him a chance at love. We got him to a vet who heartworm tested him, he was negative, performed eye surgery, neutered him, gave him a dental and all of his vaccinations. We had him groomed and cleaned up and found a wonderful foster for him. He has been the perfect gentleman. We can only guess that he lived in a home because he is totally potty trained. He has no fear about exploring his yard, smelling everything and soaking in the sunshine. When he's inside he is more than content to just sit beside you or sleep quietly on a cushy chair. Murphy loves to sleep snuggled up next to his foster parents at night, and never makes a peep! This guy deserves only the best home to live out his life. His adoption fee is $150. If you are moved by Murphy's story and can't offer him a home but would like to help with his vet bills, our paypal email is souldogrr@gmail.com. If you want to offer this boy a loving, forever home, please email us for an application.
