My name is Otis, and I am so, so excited that I have a second chance at happiness. LAAR found me at the shelter where I was about to be euthanized, and they saved me. In my past life, I was severely mistreated and abused, so I’m a bit timid. I faced some significant challenges that have left me recovering from some injuries. My back legs and hindquarters were injured and remain weak. This affects my bowel continence. I have made significant improvements in the past 8 months (I can now feel a bowel movement coming and am able to attempt to get outside or to a puppy pad), but I do still have accidents. As mistreated as I was, and as shy as I am, I love people and want to be snuggled, cuddled, kissed and loved all day. Now that I’ve physically recovering from all of the mistreatment, I am finding my playful side. I like to play with other dogs and to run around the backyard (my foster parents call it the Zoomies, and say it is the cutest, most joyful thing they’ve ever seen). I met a cat once and was terrified; I’d like to never meet another cat again. Some of my favorite things include walks in the park, rides in the car, and burrowing under blankets next to my people. While I am grateful to my foster parents for their kindness, I really, really want a forever home of my own. I would be so happy to find someone who loves me for my quirky, charming personality; who is kind and patient and wants more than anything to share their happiness and optimism with me. I am seeking a forever home with people who are able to be with me for a great deal of the day. I love my people, and don’t want them to be gone.

I am neutered, up to date on all my shots including rabies, heart worm tested (neg), micro chipped, de wormed for intestinal parasites, currently on a heart worm and flea preventative.  My adoption donation is $150.00. If you would like to learn more about me go online and email or and submit an application on line.

About Lost Angels Animal Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a non profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of unwanted dogs. We take our pets from kill shelters, owners who can longer care for them, and strays. They are completed vetted and then fostered in our homes until the perfect family can be found for them.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We show our adoptable dogs on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm at:

13127 North Dale Mabry Highway
Tampa, FL 33618
(located at the corner of N. Dale Mabry Hwy and Fletcher Ave.)

Not every foster family has the ability to show their dogs every weekend. Please contact the foster family at the email or phone number listed in the dog's biography to find out if they will be participating at the Petco on Saturday.

Our Adoption Process...

Filling out an application is an important first step in our adoption process. These can be downloaded from our website:

Meeting the dog you are interested in, asking questions and talking with the foster parent(s) about their foster pup is the next step. (can be combined with step 1 if you meet the dog at one of our many adoption events)

The foster parent will do a thorough check of your completed application (especially vet references) and possibly do a home visit with their foster dog before making a decision on their placement. (This is not 'first come, first served'. We only complete adoptions to homes that offer what is best & needed for our foster dogs; ie. a fenced yard, someone home longer hours with the dog, etc )
