Chacha's Story...
'"Hola, amigos! My name is CHACHA, and I'm a cute little munchkin who's looking for a kind and patient human companion. I like other dogs a lot, too, so I'd be a good friend for another nice doggie. I'm a five-year-old Chihuahua girl who's quite small, which is a good size for curling up in your lap. Please understand that it takes me some time to gain trust in a new person, especially with all the noise and activity at the shelter, so please be patient with me out in the lovely play yard here at the shelter. I promise that I'm worth the wait. Once I know you, I'm all yours. I'd probably do best in a quiet, adult home, or in one where the kids are older and very considerate of me. I'll be at ease in a home where life is fairly calm and predictable. Please come visit me here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter so we can get better acquainted. I'm really looking forward to making friends with you, then maybe we can go home together and I can start the new chapter of my life. Hope to see you soon! Love, Chacha"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chacha, a El Cajon Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
