Lilly (Spayed)'s Story...
"Lilly" is a beautiful 12-year old female Tortoiseshell kitty who was brought to the HSOV on September 7, 2016 for a very sad reason. Lilly's mistress who dearly loved her (and vice versa) passed away recently, and there weren't any friends or family members who could give "Lilly" another home :( The first day Lilly was with us and in her small cage, she meowed constantly and seemed to be telling us about losing not only her home and but also the lady with whom she had shared her life. We hope that someone will find it in their heart to give "Lilly" another home asap since she is accustomed to having the freedom of her home instead of lying in a small cage :( "Lilly" has a black/dark brown/orange short smooth coat in a tortoiseshell pattern, a long tail, and a very pretty face. She has a sweet disposition and enjoyed being petted while we took preliminary photos in her cage. "Lilly" was given vaccinations and wormer on September 7, 2016. She has already been spayed and could leave the shelter immediately with an approved adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly (Spayed), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
