  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male

Bandit's former family found this sweet boy as a stray when he was a year old and cared for him for 6 years.  Unfortunately their life situation changed and they were no longer able to care for their dogs and surrendered him to the SPCA.  Bandit would be perfect for anyone who is looking for a calm, companion.  He is a little nervous with strangers at first but quickly warms up when he has time to adjust.    Bandit is good with cats and other dogs. Due to his limited experience with children, he may not be a good match for a family with young children.  Bandit's family said he wasn't totally housetrained but felt that this was partially due to them being gone for extended periods and having no one to let him out.  We estimated his date of birth as 6/2/2009.  His adoption fee is $75.00.

The adoption fee includes the spay/netuer surgery, rabies vaccination, and vaccinations will be current on the date of adoption.  It also includes microchipping and 30 days of free health insurance for qualified pets.

Please contact us at (936)327-7722 for additional information.  You may also email us at for additional information or to request an adoption application.

About Our Shelter...

We are operated entirely by volunteers who donate their time and personal talents because they love the animals that come through our shelter. We offer a low cost spay/neuter program to assist low income families have their personal pets spayed/neutered or who are willing to provide a permanent home to a stray cat/dog that they have rescued. We also offer a Food Assistance program for low income families who are temporarily unable to afford to feed their pets.
