Meet Alva!
Alva and her sister Angelbelle are the survivors of a great tragedy!
Under the cover of an embankment in the suburb there once lived a homeless man. He lived with a pack of stray dogs to keep him company. The strays were fed with whatever leftover food he can come by.
Sometimes the number of stray dogs around him could reach 20 or more. The poor sanitary condition drew the attention of a few dog rescuers. They approached him and tried to persuade him to let them take the dogs to get fixed, but were rudely rejected. Even so, the rescuers kept feeding the dogs behind his presents.
One day, not too long after the homeless man died of illness, tragedy happened. Someone poisoned most of his dogs and set fire over them. Not a single survivor could be found on site. Enlisted some help, the rescuers buried the corpus of the dogs. But, holding a slim hope of finding any survivor nearby, the rescuer returned the next day. She heard whimpers behind some tall grass. Following the cry, she found three puppies, huddled together in a cave, maggot all over their filthy fur.
One of the puppies died in the hospital, Alva and Angelbelle were nursed back to health. Under the loving care in their foster home, their psychological wounds are being healed slowly. Even though they tend to be more timid and always stay together with one another, they are making progress coming out of their shells.

Now Alva has grown into a healthy, beautiful, and lively girl. She is ready to join her own forever home. Will you open your heart and let her be part of your family?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alva, a Castro Valley Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Castro Valley, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Castro Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Castro Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Castro Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Castro Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
