Patches was tested positive for FIV. An FIV+ diagnosis not a death sentence - it means that he is more susceptible to colds and other conditions and can still live a long, healthy life with no health issues. Being FIV+ he should be an indoor cat and be the only cat or with other cats that are also FIV+. Many people adopt only FIV+ cats. We know many indoor FIV+ cats that have never been sick.
This animal is eligible to participate in our Take a Chance on Me program! Its a no-fee, foster-to-adopt program for the shelter's 'wallflowers' who we know will shine once at home! These kitties have been overlooked because they're a little older, shy, intimidated, or overwhelmed. But each has their own way of winning your heart!
Patches is in a foster home and is currently unavailable for viewing except by appointment. Even though an advertised cat may not be ready yet for their public meet and greet, we are accepting applications for preapproval now.
All our cats come spayed/neutered, have their age appropriate shots, micro-chipped and dewormed/deflead.
