My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm a little miracle named Suzy Q who was born in May 2016. I'm a dilute torbie or patched tabby because I'm a soft gray tabby with pale orange tabby splotches on my body. You might say that I look like I've been dipping into the caramel kettles at a candy factory.
I'm such a sweetheart that I know that I must be one of my foster meowmy's favorites. I'm affectionate, playful, and friendly with all the dogs and other cats in my foster home.
But my life has not always been a bowl of cherries. You see, when I was just 5 weeks old, someone turned me into BARC, the Houston pound, because I had a shattered right hip socket. Some mean person had kicked me so hard that my leg bone was driven into my pelvic bone. I will be forever grateful that Buster's Friends scooped me up from death row, refused to amputate my leg, and directed Dr. Huddleston at the Westheimer Animal Clinic/ Bellaire to challenge himself with the difficult surgery to repair my hip and leg.
Lo and behold! His surgery was a rousing success, and now I'm able to run, climb, and play like any normal kitten. I barely even limp, if you can imagine. That's a result of Dr. H's expertise, my foster meowmy's love and care, my therapy regimens, and my indomitable spirit.
I'm just a little girl with personality plus and an amazing life story. Now all that I need is a forever permanent home where I can shower my lifetime companion with all the love, affection, and capricious spirit that's within me. Could you be that lucky person?
Suzy Q is FIV/ FeLV negative and, prior to adoption, will be updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and ready for her indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. Her adoption fee is $125 for kittens 9 months old and younger, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Suzy Q, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet her.
