Tulip's Story...
Hi,
I’m Tulip and I'm almost 10 month old and weigh about 40 lbs. I have been living in a foster home for a little while now and life has never been better. I have a human sibling who takes me on daily walks. We even go on bike rides together and to parks, where I can swim. Did I already mention I’m an excellent swimmer?! I can outswim everybody even the fish in the water. My favorite past time is going outside and exploring the world with her. I truly adore my little human sister. My foster mom said I can be a wild child if I don’t get my daily activity but I'm a good girl.

I have just graduated from puppy obedience class and past the cat test with flying colors. I must say, I'm not sure what to think of cats yet. They sure are scary. I’m also crate & house trained, walk excellent on the leash and I listen really well. Recently, my canine sister Trudy came to live with us. I love dogs and enjoy having a play buddy that keeps me company when everybody else is out of the house. I truly cannot wait to have my very own forever family. I hope to meet you soon.

Sincerely,
Tulip

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tulip, a Pittsburgh Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Pittsburgh, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Pittsburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
