Charlene's previous owner is suffering from many serious physical ailments, and must go into a nursing home, so she surrendered Charlene to rescue. When Charlene came in, she had not had any vet care in many years, had never been on heartworm preventive, and obviously hadn't been groomed in a very, very long time. When she was shaved down, the groomer removed just over 1 pound of matted fur! Charlene went from weighing 13 pounds 3 ounces on Monday to 12 pounds 2.5 ounces on Friday!
She is a super-sweet, affectionate little girl, born in November of 2007. She has now been HW tested (negative), vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, and dosed with Revolution for flea and heartworm prevention. She is spayed.
Charlene is housebroken, gets along well with other dogs and ignores cats. Her owner stated that she is good with children of all ages.
Her adoption fee is $200.00
