Benny's Story...
Benny is an 8 month old Maltese mix. Benny has been groomed and currently has a short fluffy haircut. He is white, and has non-shedding hair that will need to be groom every few months. Benny currently weighs 7.5 pounds and should reach about 9 pounds when he is full grown. Benny is sweet and loving, and has the potential to be awesome. He still has some puppyish ways and looks to his people for direction. He will thrive in a home where he is fussed over and kept active. Benny is the first one in line for a walk or a fun game in the backyard and loves to play with his toys. He is a young, affectionate dog with a heart of gold. He appears to be very smart and easily trained, he likes to be included in everyday activities, he will be your shadow. He is good with other dogs and but would be OK as the only dog in the household. Benny was brought in as a stray to a shelter where we rescued him. He is going to make an outstanding pet and companion. He has already been neutered, microchipped and has all of his shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benny, a San Diego Maltese puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Maltese puppy from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
