Colleen's Story...
S/F, 4 months old, Pekingese mix

Hi! As you can see, I am Pekingese, if you please! Well, a Pekingese mix, anyway! My name is Colleen, and I'm a very sweet and slightly shy girl! However, I'm very friendly once I get to know you a bit. I predict I will grow up to be a champion lap-sitter who will adore being pampered and doted on!

I came to MaxFund from another rescue organization. I'm still a young puppy, with all that connotes. I'm beyond cute and lots of fun, of course, but I also require training and socialization in order to blossom into the wonderful canine citizen that I'm meant to be. Puppy Kindergarten is a must for anyone who adopts me. These ingredients, as well as lots of attention, affection, and praise, are how puppies grow up to become great dogs! That's my goal, and I just need a loving family of my very own to help me achieve it!

So are you up for raising a young 'un? Please come over to MaxFund and ask to meet the adorable mop-dog puppy-girl in the small dog room. You'll be glad you did!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Colleen, a Denver Pekingese puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Denver, or seeking a Pekingese puppy from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
