This is Rita, a small rat terrier mix who was rescued from a high kill shelter in CA. She is a very sweet and mellow tempered girl that just likes to follow you around and loves to be carried. She weighs about 7 lbs. She is extra special because she has one blue and one brown eye. The vet estimated her age to be about 1 year old. Rita gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home as well as the teenage girl. She hasn't been exposed to cats but doesn't seem like a dog who will chase other animals.
We currently adopt in the states of NY, NJ, Eastern PA, DE, and some areas in MD. We can not accept applications from other states at this time.

All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and DHPP, heartworm tested, treated for worms and fleas and most are microchipped.
We are not a shelter, we are 100% volunteer public charity. All of our dogs are in foster homes until they are adopted. Since we are not a shelter, we do not receive government funding. We are a public charity that relies solely on funds through our adoption fee, fundraisers, and private donations. Since we are 100% volunteer based, all funds collected go directly towards the rescue and vet costs of our dogs.
We take each rescue personally and spend a lot of effort trying to match the right dog to the right family. Thank you for considering one of our rescued dogs.
