Sparkle Plenty's Story...
We will post more info about Sparkle Plenty (aka Gretel) soon. In the meantime, here is some information from her foster mom, Susan: "This dog has been the perfect house guest. I hate to give her back! Sparkle is spunky and energetic even with her leg in a splint. She is enjoying being entertained by romping with our two German shepherds even though they are twice her size (almost). She is sweet and friendly, loves people and is just an all around happy dog. She knows some basic commands, sit and wait, and seems to learn quickly. She also walks well on a leash and comes when called. She would do best in a home with older children and with an energetic family who will give her lots of walks to drain her energy a bit. But, after the day is done this girl is lounging around, snuggling and just enjoying her people!" To meet Sparkle, please call the Rescue at 208-794-0944 to set up an appointment with her foster family.

If you want to apply for Sparkle Plenty, please visit the rescue and fill out an application. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sparkle Plenty, a Meridian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog breeders who help with Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
