Nana is a special little girl - she is blind but she doesn't let that stop her from enjoying life. She is about 8 years old, and is in very good health. She weighs just about 15 pounds.
She is great with other dogs and cats, walks nicely on a leash, and is potty-trained once she learns her way around. Nana loves treats and wags her little tail when you talk to her.
Nana needs a bit of time to learn to trust new people, but once you have earned her trust, she is affectionate, loves to be petted and sit on your lap.
A quiet home is just what she needs, with no young children (under 10 years old), where she will have patient and loving humans to care for her.
All of our dogs are available for a $150 donation. This includes them being spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and fully vaccinated.
To adopt a dog, we require an approved pre-application, as well as a securely fenced yard. This means an actual, physical, fence. 'Invisible' fences are not acceptable, sorry. If you live in an apartment and do not have a yard, we are not able to adopt to you.
Please contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
Please note: we typically do not do 'out of the area' adoptions. This would be any location more than 60 miles away from the Reno/Carson City area.

You'll receive a copy, too, at to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures, on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
