About Houndhaven

About Our Shelter...

Houndhaven, Inc. - based in Central Florida - rescues dogs and puppies of all kinds from euthanasia at kill shelters. We care for them until they can be placed in loving homes or with another rescue group. We believe that these lives are precious, and we are strictly a no kill organization. Our mission is life.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please visit us at the Winter Garden Village PetSmart in Winter Garden on most weekends from Noon to 4PM.

Our Adoption Process...

We believe our dogs and puppies deserve the best homes, so all prospective adopters must have excellent references and agree to a home visit. All dogs are up to date on shots and spayed or neutered. An adoption fee is charged to help defray veterinarian and other expenses. We have promised our babies that they will never have to worry again, so adopters will sign a contract agreeing to take good care of the animal, and if an adoption doesn't work out for any reason, the animal MUST be returned to Houndhaven.
