Eddison is an 11 month old deaf boxer/american bulldog mix. Eddison is being fostered by a deaf dog trainer to help him learn hand signals and other basic manners. He is doing FABULOUS !! She says he is VERY SMART and a sweet boy. He has been introduced to a vibrating collar to come to his handler. He has been taught the hand signals for sit, down, wait, settle, go to bed and is beginning to leave it and stay. Eddison LOVES to play with other dogs and enjoys running around the back yard, just romping and chasing the other dogs. But he would probably do best in a home without cats. He just finds them too interesting and will chase them.
Eddison loves to play with interactive toys and chew on his nylabone. He is good at entertaining himself for short periods of time. This boy is a real gem and his trainer says she will help his new family transition him into their new family. He is good with kids but because of his energy, he might do better in a home with older kids. He loves to go bye-bye and any interaction he can get with dogs, kids or adults, he is one happy boy.
Please don't let Eddison's deafness interfere from being adopted. Living with a deaf dog truly is not that difficult and with him being so smart, he would catch on very quickly to what he is asked of. We will require that his new home has an actual fenced in yard, for safety reasons, He is housebroken, neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm negative and free of all internal parasites. He is also micro chipped His adoption fee is $100.
