Facts about MARTY - RESCUED FROM WALMART

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Orange Or Red Tabby
  • Age: Kitten
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 1317
  • Hair: Short
Marty was rescued from a life at the local flower section of a Walmart. Not a good place for a kitten. Fortunately a kind person saw him and FFAR agreed to foster him. Marty is a sweet boy. He's a little shy at first but give him some time to adjust and he's right there with you wanting you to play with the fishing pole toy or he wants you to pet him. He's a kitten so what he wants of course changes every five minutes. Marty has been highly socialized with other cats and has dog socialization also. He must be adopted into a home that has another pet to be his friend. His estimated date of birth is 4/29/2016. Marty is good with his kitty box. He is eating Iams kitten. This boys life started off so difficult. Can you give him a forever home that has lots of love - and kitty toys!! Complete an application for this great kitten today.

About Furry Friends Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Furry Friends Animal Rescue

We are a new group started in 2013 by a large group of experienced rescuers - we wanted to be part of an ethical rescue group which would allow us to help homeless cats and dogs in the North Texas area. We value all the experience and knowledge brought to this group by the volunteers so the group is member based. We welcome new volunteers and fosters, both experienced or new to rescue. You can contact us by email or through our website - we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All our cats and dogs live in foster homes so we don't have a physical shelter for you to visit.
A selection of FFAR cats will be showcased EVERY DAY at

Frisco PetSmart #2376 (DNT/Eldorado) and
McKinney PetSmart #1751 N. Central Expressway.

Adoption Counselors will be in attendance on Saturday and Sunday.
Frisco location: Saturday from 11 am - 4 pm. and Sunday from 12 noon - 4 p.m.
McKinney location: Saturday and Sunday 12 noon - 4 pm

A selection of the FFAR dogs will be at Frisco Petsmart #2376 (DNT/Eldorado) on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays of the month from usually 11 am - 4 p.m.
Adoption Counselors will be in attendance during that time.

If you are interested in meeting any of our cats or dogs, just send us a an email or fill out an Adoption Application on our website. The Adoption Application is not a commitment just a means of introduction. We look forward to hearing from you!

Our Adoption Process...

We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis - it is our goal to find the right home for the cat or dog as well ensuring that the cat or dog is the right match for it's new family. A win/win situation.
For dogs, we require an application, home visit for approved application, and home trial period to ensure that it's a good fit for the dog and the family.
For cats, we require an application, but do allow same-day adoptions. Our goal is to find our fosters a "forever" home.
Our Adoption Fees are $140 for cats and $175 for dogs.

All our cats and dogs are fully vetted prior to adoption - this includes all age-appropriate vaccinations, feline leukemia/aids testing, heartworm tests, deworming, spay or neuter, microchips and other medical treatment as required.

You can fill out an Adoption Application online on our website.
