Facts about Bumper

  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Senior
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 216322
  • Hair: Short
Bumper is gentle girl, whose owner has become ill and is no longer able to care for her. Bumper is feeling a bit overwhelmed in the shelter right now and will need a little extra time and patience while adjusting to a new home.

For the last six years, she has lived strictly indoors with a single, older adult and might like a similar living arrangement. However, we think she might also enjoy a family and the company of polite children ages 10 and above, who will approach her calmly and treat her respectfully. Because Bumper seems anxious outside of her familiar space, she will need to continue to live indoors for her ongoing health and safety.

She enjoys all the comforts a senior kitty appreciates--petting, ear rubs, chin scratches, gentle grooming and lots of human companionship. Offer her a small, quiet room as she settles into her life with you. Include a cozy bed, basket or box for security, bowls for food and water, a litter box, and a few cat toys. Visit her often offering pets and reassuring words of comfort. Once she seems comfortable, she may be ready to explore the rest of her new home, gradually--one room at a time. Be sure to always leave a path open to her special place.

Your kindness and willingness to let her settle in at her own pace will be amply rewarded with the love and companionship of this sweet kitty!
