Trudy's Story...

I'm Trudy and I am about 6 years old. I'm House trained, I get along great with other dogs. I am very very smart. I try to talk to you as best I can. Humans say I'm really quite funny about it. I love food and I will move my bowl around with my paw until it gets in just the right spot so you will put food in it! I'm a really really good cuddler, I LOVE to be around my person and LOVE my walks. I have a significant cateract on my right eye and most likely will need surgery to removeit - but it doesn't stop me from loving you and loving life..

Every Underdog has been spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, flea/tick treated, de-wormed, and received rabies, bordetella and distemper/parvo vaccines. All dogs have had a recent visit to the vet as well.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trudy, a Portland Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Portland, or seeking a Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
