Sir Wagglesworth's Story...
Hello, I'm Sir Wagglesworth! Why Sir Wagglesworth you ask? Well, for one, I'm a proper boy, thank you very much. And two, my tail is a non stop whirlwind of puppy wags! Now, I know what you're thinking. How can a dog of one to two years old look as gosh darned adorable as a puppy? I'll tell you, but you have to cross your paws you won't tell. I'm a Jack Russell Lab mix! My rescue guesses that with my lanky lab like legs, and short stature and markings (check out my eyebrows!) I'm a labrarussel! Or, in other words, a Sir Wagglesworth. I'm fully grown at 23 pounds. I have a slight underbite that gives me a little snagletooth sometimes, and sometimes my tongue pokes out a bit, my rescue says its part of my charm and I have to agree, I'm adorable! But don't worry, my underbite doesn't cause me any problems, only a heightened sense of cuteness. A little bit more about me you say? Well, I was dumped by my first family at a high kill shelter when they decided they didn't want me anymore: my time was almost up when my rescue came to save me! They believe my first people didn't love me very much, and kept me outside all the time. So now my rescue is looking for my perfect Furever home. One that understands that I'll be a Furever indoor dog, not temporary. Oh, I've also recently discovered how wonderful beds and couches are in my foster home. So couch time for cuddles is a must! I'm looking for a family who understands dogs are meant to be indoor family members, not to be left outside. I walk wonderfully on my leash when I go for walks, and I love to run and play outside in my fenced in backyard then come back in for a water break and a belly rub! So, to wrap things up, I'm looking forward to meeting you, wherever you are. I know we'll be best of friends, and I cannot wait to begin my new life with you, with someone to cuddle me close as night, and love me Furever. I'm so excited to be apart of your family. This time, I'll be on the inside, not the outside looking in, and I cannot wait. I'll see you soon. Since we will be family, you can call me Waggles if you want! Much love, Sir Wagglesworth

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sir Wagglesworth, a Lakeland Labrador Retriever/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Lakeland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Lakeland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lakeland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lakeland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lakeland paves the way for another one to be saved.
