Facts about Tara

  • Breed: Chihuahua Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn - With Black
  • Age: Puppy
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
Meet Tara and her brother Skye, the first two of 8 pups that are now ready for adoption. Tara is the darker tan female with the black muzzle. Skye is the light tan male with white tips of the toes and a wrinkled brow. They are both sweet, happy, fun little pups that are looking for their own forever families that will teach them how to be terrific adult dogs. Their mom is 22 lbs right now (she needs to lose a few pounds), so her pups will probably be about 12 to 14 lbs when fully grown. Please remember that puppies require attention and oversight until they learn the ropes, so it is necessary that an adopter have the time and the love to raise a puppy. If you are interested in meeting either Tara or Skye (or both), please send in your application found at and we will give you a call.

About Chihuahua Rescue of San Diego

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a rescue consisting of an all volunteer organization where all of our dogs are in private homes everyday. We do not have a shelter and our dogs are not kept in cages. Our dogs are from county animals shelters or from previous owners that are no longer able to care for their dog. All of our dogs are started on housebreaking, however, we do not guarantee that they will be housebroken. We offer education on how to housebreak a dog as well as other information on different situations. Every dog is spayed or neutered, current on shots, dewormed, frontline for fleas and ticks. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!!!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We often bring our dogs to the Chihuahua Meetups held at Capehart Park.

Our Adoption Process...

An application is required prior to visiting a dog.
This enables us to pick the dog we feel is best for your situation.
