My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lola: A Diamond in the Ruff
Meet Lola! She is 4-5 years old and loves every human she meets. She is a 40 lb. Basset / Terrier mix. She favors a Basset Hound as she has those sad droopy eyes and her front feet point outward; She is just adorable! We also think she is part Bull Terrier (You know, like the Target Dog or some of us older folks may remember Spuds McKenize the Bud Light Dog).
She is completely house trained. She LOVES soft squeaky toys. She sqeaks them, then she cuddles with them. She does not destry them. Infact, all she wants to do is cuddle. She is in Heaven when she can be on the couch with you, or the bed. Her former owner must have let her up on the couch and the bed because she just wants to lay next to you where ever you are. And the more belly rubs the better. She LOVES kids. She is so gentle, when you give her a treat she slowly and carefully takes it from your hand. She is not crate trained, however when she is in a crate she doesn't try to get out or hurt herself, she just barks. She also barks when she can't see a human because she is sad and confused. She wants to be by your side wherever you go. This is due to separation anxiety, but she is not destructive, just very lonely. How can you blame her- her owner passed away, and now she is in her second foster home. She has no interest in cats and possibly even lived with one at one time. She is not dog aggressive. However; she is curious and gets anxious approaching other dogs on a walk- but this behavior can be easily corrected. She is very smart; and just needs a little guidance because her previous owner probably never socialized her. She walks good on a restricted leash. No retractable leash for this girl or she will be walking you. She is about 40 pounds.
