Meet Sunflower!!
This stunning, show-stopper puppy is a 6 month old, purebred Australian Shepherd. But don't let her glamour shots fool you, she is all goofy puppy, playfulness and tender snuggling.
She is incredibly smart, and learns faster than most. She is sweet but also a tad insecure in new situations and needs mental stimulation for so many reasons - but one being, confidence.
We love this girl and will make sure she goes to a home with Aussie experience. Preference given to applicants in Boulder County. She would not do well in a Denver home (too much noise, people and dogs). She barks when she sees dogs on leash, so a mountain home or someone near the foothills would be ideal. A fenced yard is preferred as well (but not required).
She lives with cats and a dog and gets along great with them.
Whoever adopts her will need to commit to lifelong clicker training program for this most precious angel. She is currently working privately with a KPA trainer on a daily basis and enrolled in classes at Boulder Humane.

Her adoption fee is $600 because of her breed and training. Her adoption fee includes a harness, microchip, vaccinations and one hour of training with her KPA trainer.

All our dogs are in foster homes.
You have to go through the adoption process and be approved before meeting a dog.

Its an application, two phone interviews and a home visit.

Our Adoption Process...

First you must fill out an application which we will review. Then we will do a phone interview, reference check and finally a home visit before a dog is placed in your home. We ONLY adopt to homes where the dog is an indoor dog, part of the family and treated as such. We stress excellent nutrition, proper training and follow up with all our adopters.

We are probably have one of the more thorough and difficult adoption processes... and we love that people want to adopt and don't want to discourage adopters! So please, if you're in a hurry, or not an exceptional furever home - please try other rescues or a SHELTER is a great option too!
