Gidget's Story...
ABOUT FIVE MONTH OLD GIDGET
Introducing Gidget! This adorable five month old was found as a stray in Central Falls. She has demodex mange, which is not contagious. She is receiving treatment for her skin condition and will be good as new soon. Once healed and spayed, she will be ready for her forever home.

We at Handsome Dan's Rescue understand the importance of a puppy's early socialization so they can grow up to be the best and most well adjusted puppy they can me. To that end, we have matched Gidget to Handsome Dan's Rescue Shelter Dog Enrichment Specialist, Daniela, so she can get lots of time out of the shelter environment and get started on her training.

We are taking care of Gidget's vaccines so she can start attending Outbound Hounds' Pits and Pals C.L.A.S.S. with Daniela right away. When you have a puppy of this age, there is no time to waste getting her on the right path!

In addition to the adoption fee required by the City of Central Falls, an adopter will also be required to pre-register Gidget in an HDR approved group training class.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gidget, a Cranston Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Bull Terrier for sale in Cranston, or seeking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Cranston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cranston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cranston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Bull Terrier breeders who help with Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cranston paves the way for another one to be saved.
