I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Ginger's Story...
Little Miss Ginger wanted to let you all know that as she continues in foster care, she is learning many new and wonderful things. She no longer has fear peeing! Yay!! She likes everyone, but when it comes to dogs, she prefers those that are submissive. She has decided she needs to be the dominant one in the pack (or the only one). She is happy, joyful and energetic. She is not food aggressive but is very protective of her toys/treats which is being addressed now. She likes to jump which she is also learning is a no-no. Where she was a “fraidy” cat before, she is now confident and trusting. Kids and cats are a-okay in her book.

Here’s more:

Age: 3-4 years old

Weight: 23 pounds

Health: Excellent

Breed: Boston Terrier mix (with Whippet?)

Appearance: Beautiful cinnamon brindle coat, long tail and a hilarious smile that is reminiscent of human teeth (or the dogs in the Dentabone commercial)

Demeanor: Affectionate, sweet, quiet/mellow, somewhat playful, couch potato, somewhat social, dominant, happy, energetic

Likes: People (including children), submissive dogs, ignores cats, giving kisses and snuggling, being held and sitting in laps, going for car rides and walks, sleeping in your bed, treats, bones

Dislikes: Loud noises/voices, quick hands/movements, timid with strangers, new experiences, being picked up, vacuums (likes to chase them)

Manners: Housebroken, crate trained, leash trained, working on verbal commands

Fenced Yard Required: Preferred

Tidbits: It’s very sad to see Ginger passed up time and again. She’s made huge strides in her demeanor and has really blossomed. While she isn’t a true Boston, she has the spirit of one (and some DNA) and deserves to be loved as much as any other dog. Sometimes the underdogs are the best dogs of the bunch!

The adoption fee for this dog is $350.00 which includes altering, heartworm testing, vaccines, micro-chipping, harness, leash and identification tags. This dog is being fostered in a private home and is not available for viewing.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger, a Greensboro Boston Terrier/Whippet dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier/Whippet for sale in Greensboro, or seeking a Boston Terrier/Whippet dog from a breeder in Greensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier/Whippet breeders who help with Boston Terrier/Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
