Nicholas is an awesome dog! He is energetic and loving. He is about 4 years old and enjoys a lot of play time. He was originally found wondering the streets of Phoenix lost and confused. He has spent a lot of time with our trainer who has found him to be loving, caring, wants to please, full of life and simply a cool canine. He likes to play with other big dogs like him but he can be dog selective at times when he is over stimulated. He tends to want to be top dog and he is learning that his handler is the top dog; not him. He understands that very quickly and then it's back to play.
Nicholas is young and before he came to us, it was evident that he didn't have any guidance. He's a strong dog who needs a strong handler who is willing to continue his training, be consistent and totally love and understand Nicholas like he deserves. Nicholas needs a family who has time to hang out, play, hike or any activity where he can be involved. He's active and wants to play with his humans. He would make someone an awesome running partner! Nicholas would think he was in heaven!
Nicholas needs a chance. He tends to have a bit of separation anxiety at first because he's had such a tough road so far in his young life. He needs a chance to find that perfect match; someone who wants to help him learn a routine, keep him active and continue with consistent training and love him for the rest of his life. Nicholas is simply at his best when he has a job so he can please his owner. You have to meet him! Are you his new family?
