Alexa's Story...
This sweet little girl is Alexa. Her story starts off heartbreaking. She was found in a tomato box at a recycling plant. Luckily, Friends of Rescue was able to save her and now she's as warm and cozy as can be. These pictures, as cute as they are, just don't do her justice. She has silky medium/long black fur, fuzzy ears, a gray fur scarf, and best of all... she has a FLUFFY BOBTAIL! She looks like a bunny! She is shy around people still, but she loves her foster sisters. She is comfortable with her foster mom and will sit in her lap and snuggle. It just takes her a little while longer than some to come around to humans. She would need a family with patience, that would let her come around in her own time. However I think she would be just fine in a family with pets! She is fostered in Huntsville, AL, felv/fiv negative, up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped! Her adoption fee is $75 and you can fill out an application for me at www.forrescue.net!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alexa, a Knoxville Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
