Rufus's Story...
Rufus is an absolutely adorable 11 month old Labradoodle from a breeder on Long Island. His owner bought him as a pup but now has to give him up because he works full time and does not have enough time to spend with Rufus. Rufus is a total dream dog! He is incredibly sweet, great with kids, dogs, and cats. He is just pure love. One look in his eyes, and you will know what we mean. He loves to run and play, go for walks, and also to snuggle with you and just play with his toys. He is very loving and whoever adopts this sweet dog will be the luckiest person on the planet. We made sure to have Rufus neutered when we took him into our rescue. He is also now up to date on shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500. We require adopters to have a fully fenced in yard not electric fence. For more information and application to adopt please visit gimmeshelteranimalrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rufus, a Sagaponack Labradoodle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labradoodle for sale in Sagaponack, or seeking a Labradoodle dog from a breeder in Sagaponack.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sagaponack already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sagaponack breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labradoodle breeders who help with Labradoodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sagaponack paves the way for another one to be saved.
