Alice's Story...
Alice (aka Lil' Momma) is a sweet and spunky 2 year old (maybe younger). She and her 5 kittens came to HART in poor health from a rural shelter. Alice did her best as a young, sick mom, and now she's ready for her own happily ever after!

We were surprised to find out that Alice only has three legs! No one knows how she lost her back leg, but she does very well without it. She can still run and chase and puts up a good "fight" when playing with the other cats. The only assistance she requires is getting on to high surfaces like beds or couches.

Alice enjoys a medicinal dose of catnip, playing with other cats and lounging around the house. She has a great temperament and would do well on her own or with other pets. She is not talkative, but she will "beep" or "chirp" when she wants your attention instead of meowing. It's her most endearing trait.

This little girl would be a great addition to any family!

All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.

If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application - Click Here. The application will put you in touch with this wonderful cat's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alice, a Cincinnati Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
