Floyd's Story...
Floyd is an adorable 11 week old Border Collie mix puppy that entered our rescue from a rural kill shelter in Southwestern Virginia. Floyd will need what all puppies need: training, patience, lots of exercise, and and adopter who is committed to him for life!

A $200 adoption fee for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough) , microchipped and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites if needed. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as surgeries and dentals. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Floyd, a Staunton Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
