Hi everyone, I'm Pippa.  Life as I knew it for the last 9 years changed at the end of July when my family surrendered my fur-sister and I to a shelter saying they couldn't afford to take care of us anymore.

The shelter got all my vetting done, spay and some large skin tags removed.  I had some seeping when I tore my stitches out so they started me on thyroid meds and noted that I might have something called vWD.

I made my way to Doberman Underground after being at the shelter for 5 weeks.
My foster mom says I'm going to have a swab done for a vWD DNA test since there was concern over my seeping.  The shelter started me on thyroid medicine.  It's been found it can help with bleeding problems.  They're  going to run a Michigan State full thyroid panel to make sure my thyroid level is regulated.  I'm told hypothyroid seems to be common with dobermans nowadays.  It's treated with medicine that costs $0.32 a day.  I've been started on some glycoflex 3 too for my 9 year old joints.

After spending a month in the shelter, I'm a little scared right now.  I'm not sure what to make of all these changes in my life.  I do tell my foster mom thank you for loving me with little soft kisses.  I love to steal the pillow on the couch and lay on it.
I'm living with a couple foster fur-siblings right now.  They seem ok but I'm just not sure of what's going on. I watch them play but not sure I want to join in.

My foster mom keeps telling me I'm such a petite little thing. I do need to gain a couple pounds right now.

I would love to find someone with a nice comfy spot for me to lay my head and spend my retirement years. Do you have a spot for me? Send in your application today.

Pippa's adoption fee is $250.

About Doberman Underground

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an all-volunteer organization working to rescue dogs from abusive or neglectful situations as well as from shelters/pounds. We also accept dogs through Owner Surrender process, as space permits, when the owner is no longer able to care for the best interest of the dog. We provide necessary veterinary care while they are waiting to find their permanent home. We find adoptive homes through an adoption process which includes vet checks and home visits. We work to educate and promote the importance of spaying/neutering animals.
