  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Unknown
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 10560828

Brodie is a 7 year old oversized Doberman that came to us as an owner surrender due to life changes.  He needed some TLC when he came in, requiring a dental cleaning, molar, and fatty lump removal.   Brodie is fully vetted and ready to find a comfy place to call home. His adoption fee is $250.

Brodie has been in a home for the last couple years as the only dog and he appears to like it best that way.  He currently has been in a foster homes with an older dog and is adjusting with supervision.  As Brodie is learning to live with other dogs we are seeing some resource guarding that is expected when you haven’t had to share.
Brodie is a laid back dog who loves to play ball and walks well on his leash.  He is housebroken and can be left unattended in the house.  With his personality he would do best in an adult home or children over 12 with a laid back lifestyle, also.
Brodie has been a little nervous with all his life changes.  He was loved and spoiled in his previous home as all dogs should be, but in foster homes there can be a lot of personalities to interact with.  Brodie is on low cost medicine that can be purchased at Wal-Mart to help relax him with all the life changes.  In his perfect home he could potentially be off the medicine.
Do you have a spot on your couch that Brodie could fill? Apply today.

NOTE: Oversized means he is larger than the Doberman standard.  Doberman males should be 26 - 28" with ideal being 27.5" at the shoulders (withers).  Brodie is possibly 30.5" at the shoulder. Read more about the Doberman breed standard on the DPCA website.    DPCA | The Doberman | Breed Standard

About Doberman Underground

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an all-volunteer organization working to rescue dogs from abusive or neglectful situations as well as from shelters/pounds. We also accept dogs through Owner Surrender process, as space permits, when the owner is no longer able to care for the best interest of the dog. We provide necessary veterinary care while they are waiting to find their permanent home. We find adoptive homes through an adoption process which includes vet checks and home visits. We work to educate and promote the importance of spaying/neutering animals.
