Facts about Hope

  • Breed: Cockapoo Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Meet Hope, our adorable female cocker spaniel - poodle mix, who weighs 32 lb and is approximately 5 yrs old. Hope was the product of a breeder - living her first 4yrs in a crate. She has been in a foster home now for over a year. She is slowly starting to act like the silly dog that she is. As a result of her developing years in a crate, she cannot jump. She will put her front legs up on the couch to let you know that she'd like a lift up.

Due to her breed, Hope will need grooming about every 6 weeks. She loves to cuddle but then also likes her space. She is best when kept to a solid routine that she can count on.

Hope is a shy girl and it will take some time for her to build trust. She will not be placed in a home with young children as she is not sure of the unpredictable nature of children. She will also need another dog as a companion - this will help the transition to go much smoother.

Hope does not walk on leash - potential adopter(s) will need to have a fully fenced yard to be considered for this sweet baby. She loves sleeping in the bed with you and will not tolerate being crated (She's been crated enough don't you think!).
We are still working with Hope on her house manners, incl going potty outside - but she's getting there. This lovely lady needs a quiet place to call her own. A house check is mandatory and a meet and greet at the foster parents' house is required.

Hope is ready to find her forever home! She is spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $400.

About Forever Home Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Forever Home Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We receive dogs from owner surrenders and overcrowded shelters. All of the dogs are housed in private, loving foster homes in the greater Seattle area. We assess their behaviors and health and help them relax during their transition to a forever home. The dogs remain in foster care or in our kenneling facility until they are adopted. All of the dogs visit our vet for a health screening, are spayed or neutered, microchipped and are current on routine vaccinations.

Forever home dog rescue is not a shelter and thus you cannot see the dogs without an appointment.

We need foster homes! Thinking about adopting a dog, but not sure yet about which breed or if you're ready for the long-term commitment? Consider becoming a foster parent. A foster dog placement can be anywhere from two weeks to several months. We provide any dog supplies you may need and cover all necessary medical costs for your foster dog. You provide the love and attention and bring the dogs to adoption events at least twice per month.

Interested? Send us an email at info@foreverhomedogrescue.org and we'll send you a foster application. It's lots of fun and you will meet lots of dogs and other people who love dogs.
