Tuttle's Story...
Hi I'm Tuttle! I'm about 25 years old, and about 25" long. I am a Sulcata Tortoise. I can live to be over 70 years old. I'm a big guy and I love to eat fresh fruit and vegetables! But I also like to eat the grass hay and grasses, especially dandelions in the lawn. I have a lot of personality and am large enough for a small child to ride, though Pack N Pounce doesn't recommend it, I did sneak a ride to a little boy who sat on me before anyone noticed. I love to bask in the sun and am very adaptable to the Utah environment. As well as other environments all around the USA. My owner past away and his family live in an apartment, and I'm not one for apartment life.

My Adoption donation is only $500

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tuttle, a Ogden Tortoise was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Tortoise for sale in Ogden, or seeking a Tortoise from a breeder in Ogden.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ogden already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ogden breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Tortoise breeders who help with Tortoise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ogden paves the way for another one to be saved.
