Tiny Tim's Info...

Tiny Tim's Story...
Five year old Tiny Tim was transferred to our Rescue after his owner could no longer care for him. He is understandably disoriented by this sudden change in his life, but he is adjusting to his new environment. Still shy and cautious, Tiny Tim warms up to people who offer him treats and the opportunity to go for a walk. This Dachshund/Rat Terrier mix would benefit from a guardian who can provide exercise and can help him manage his weight. Tiny Tim's thoughts on dogs, cats, and kids are a secret for now, but you're welcome to come by the Rescue and get to know him.

If you want to apply for Tiny Tim, please visit the rescue and fill out an application. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiny Tim, a Meridian Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
