Langston's Story...
AVAILABLE 07-19-16 Langston is a handsome Tuxedo Cat who an Animal Control Officer brought to the Shelter as a stray. We're thinking that Langston must have had a family in the past, because he's not only quite friendly, but he'd also been neutered. He's been here since July and no one has called or come looking for him, so Langston is now ready to become part of a new loving family. He's been vaccinated since his arrival and will be microchipped at adoption. We're estimating Langston's age to be about 5 years, so if his adopter is age 55 or older, his adoption fee is $25. So come to the Shelter on Enterprise Drive in Elizabeth City and meet this sweet gentleman.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Langston, a Elizabeth City Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
