Amelia's Story...
This adorable apricot Goldendoodle/Labradoodle mix will be eight-weeks-old on Wednesday Sept 14 and ready for her new home. She came to us via owner surrender along with her siblings after the owners Golden had an "accident" with the neighbors Labradoodle. They come with their first round of vaccinations, have been dewormed twice and will be again on 9/14. They are all use to being kenneled to sleep and are doing very well with housebreaking of course this will have to be followed through with in the new home. We have them dragging leash when outside for playtime to help them get use to it for leash training.

Adoption fee is $400 which includes their spay and neuter when they are big enough to have it done, no later than six-months-old or it voids the contract and we will take the puppy back. We do not ship our dogs, if you are out of area you must come here to meet them and us to meet you. We will not hold a puppy if another approved home comes first to meet them. In order to meet any of our dogs you must email a letter of reference from your veterinarian and copy of your DL to info@soldiersforstrays.org Potential adopters are scheduled in the order in which we receive this information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amelia, a Sylacauga Goldendoodle/Labradoodle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Goldendoodle/Labradoodle for sale in Sylacauga, or seeking a Goldendoodle/Labradoodle puppy from a breeder in Sylacauga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sylacauga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sylacauga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Goldendoodle/Labradoodle breeders who help with Goldendoodle/Labradoodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sylacauga paves the way for another one to be saved.
