Daisy's Story...
UPDATE - 5 SEPTEMBER 2016: All weekend we have been driving Miss Daisy to every adventure and hijink we can think of. Daisy is always excited and eager to participate. She absolutely insists on leading the pack on hikes, even though she is half the size of the other dogs. She loves to play with the other dogs and can walk right under them when she needs to get somewhere quick. Daisy also loves children and when we leave the house, she looks around for the neighborhood kids for a mutual doting session. Daisy is a champion snuggler, the original love dog who loves to kiss.

3 SEPTEMBER 2016: Curmudgeons, beware! Daisy is here and she is darned glad to meet you! This enthusiastic tail wagger is approximately 14 pounds (but she feels lighter) and around 4-5 years old. Daisy is pure joy, great with our dogs, an admirer of children, she walks happily on the leash and is house-trained and crate-trained. Daisy is looking for her forever home where she can feel loved and love in return. Daisy will not be denied!

28 AUGUST 2016: Daisy is a 4- to 5-year-old female beagle mix. She's super sweet, friendly, and good with other dogs. She was an owner give-up in Abingdon, Virginia with no reason given.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy, a Dumfries Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Dumfries, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Dumfries.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dumfries already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dumfries breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dumfries paves the way for another one to be saved.
