Scooby's Story...
Scooby was surrendered to a high kill shelter by his owners. no clue why they didn't want this sweet boy. He was a matted mess. We got him all cleaned up and you should have seen him strut. He is great with other dogs, especially his buddy Stewie at the fosters house. He loves to snuggle and sleep in bed with foster mom.

**If interested please fill out an application on our website www.mendingheartsrescue.org and we can set up a time to meet them, as we are a foster based rescue**

**adoptions fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, heartworm check for dogs, FeLV test for cats, and flea/heartworm prevention**

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scooby, a Rockford Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Rockford, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Rockford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rockford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rockford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rockford paves the way for another one to be saved.
