Hi there everyone! Lexie is my name and even though to you I may look like a chunky 11 year old Malamute, under all that fluff is the heart of a cougar! My brother and I were surrended to a shelter after we had lived with our family since we were puppies. We were so sad. Moonsong came to the rescue…no pun intended…and placed us in great foster homes. This is so much better than being left alone in a shelter kennel. I don’t like being alone. The closer I am to people the better. I spent my whole life with my brother so I think I would like a mellow male around but nothing too high strung. They make me dizzy with all that running around and I can get a little grumpy. However, I do well with small dogs that are freindly and nice to me. I do also like kids as long as they are respectful towards me. Did I tell you I love being around people of all sizes? I may be a cougar inside but my years of neglect have caused some joint issues but my foster mom says I am doing much better since I have lost some weight and am now taking some meds to help the joints. I still need to lose a few more pounds but with my walks with my foster mom and my closely watched diet I am sure I will be a svelte gal in no time. Did I mention how much I like my foster mom! I’m pretty low maintenance…brush me, pet me, comb me, brush my teeth…it’s all good to me cuz I am a sucker for being petted and doted on.
I am spayed, current on all my shots and have been thoroughly vetted. I’m in pretty good health if I might say so myself considering what I have been through. If you are looking for a sweet Mal who adores people, don’t pass me over. It would make my world complete to be your very own Velcro dog!
