My name is Frederick and I am a middle age Rottweiler. I am estimated to be about 6 years old and weigh about 90 pounds.
My favorite things include: PEOPLE, other dogs, water bottles, tennis balls, antlers, whipped cream, naps, and giving you kisses.
Due to my previous living situation, I am a little fearful but I am doing very well with this. I don't like sudden movements, or when people grab around my neck or near my bottom. Leashes aren't my favorite, but once they are on, I do fine. If I am uncomfortable, I will go lay down in my crate and come out when I am ready. I have some areas where I no longer have hair, but that's OK, I think it gives me character. I have a long coat, but I do well with baths. My long term medical needs will include a grain free diet and daily probiotic.
I have gotten along with every human I have met since being out of the shelter. I have met cats and ignored them, though I don't currently live with any. I have done well with all dogs so far: large, small, female, and male. I really think I would do best in a home with another dog to hang out with.
I am crate trained and house trained as long as I am let out regularly. It would be nice if I had a fenced in yard because I wouldn't have to be on a leash, though I know to stay in my yard if someone stays outside with me. I am neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm, and flea prevention.
