Meet Kia!

Kia spent her first 6 years as a breeder dog in a puppy mill.  She is very shy and will need a patient foster that will work with her on socialization.   These dogs often have never been in a home environment and will need to learn how to be "a dog and companion".  They will need work on leash training and housetraining.

Currently Kia circles a lot in her crate -a typical behavior of mill dogs that are used to being crated constantly.  With no room to move... they circle.   The shelter has been working on walking her and the circling is getting better.

A home with a fenced yard and another dog is highly recommended for Kia.
