Facts about Amy

  • Breed: Cardigan Welsh Corgi/Beagle Mix
  • Color: Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White)
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
Amy is a 3 year old Corgi/Beagle mix. She is very loyal to her humans, but does not do well with other dogs or young children. They scare her and she can become defensive. We recommend a home with older children. We will consider a home with other dogs, but we will have to introduce the dogs at the meet and greet to be sure they will get along. Amy is very cuddly and loved to just cuddle up on the couch with you. She is low energy. Her adoption fee is $150 and will cover her vaccinations and spay surgery.

About Pawsitively Loved Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a new dog rescue group serving the DFW area. We take in abandoned/stray dogs, found dogs (in the hopes of finding their owners), owner surrendered dogs, and urgent dogs from kill shelters. We are an all volunteer organization relying on fosters to house and care for adoptable dogs. We strive to find the best homes as possible for these dogs.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our dogs are all in foster homes, as we do not have a shelter location at this time. In order to meet a dog, an adoption application must be filled out and approved. Once approved, we will set up a time for you to meet the dog you are interested in.

Our Adoption Process...

About our adoption process:
Whether it's a dog found on the streets, or an owner surrender we must wait 72 hours before adopting out. This allows us time to assess the dogs personality and temperament. If they are found on the street and we are called, we use these 72 hours to assess the dog as well as try to find their owner.

Once the dog is available for adoption we list them as available with a short bio and some pictures. Anyone interested in adopting must fill out an application.

Applications generally take 1-3 business days to process. Processing an application includes it being reviewed by all Directors and the President of the rescue, and personal and vet reference checks are done. If an application is approved, we will schedule a meet and greet. If that goes well and you still want to adopt the dog by this point, we will set up a home visit and an adoption date. The adoption fee will be collected on the adoption date unless otherwise discussed.

Dogs who still need to be spayed or neutered and are old enough for surgery will be spayed/neutered prior to you taking them home. If adopting a puppy, a spay/neuter contract will be signed and this surgery must be completed once they are 6 months old.

Adoption fees are decided on a case-by-case basis depending upon the age and health of the dog, and what treatments may have been done. All dogs receive age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, spay/neuter, and microchip as a part of the adoption.

This process is to ensure the dogs are adopted out to the best homes possible, and to ensure they will not be mistreated, abandoned again, or unhappy in any way.

Thank you for choosing to adopt!
